Day 7: Bryce Canyon
An accidentally 13-mile day hike through the hoodoos — the rim trail, Navajo Loop, and Queen's Garden.
After spending the night in the truck at a truck stop in Nephi, UT, I made it to Bryce Canyon in the early afternoon. There were plenty of spots available at the first-come-first-serve Sunset Campground so I set up my site and then headed out for a short hike. Well, it was supposed to be short — I ended up walking 13 miles and completing the Rim Trail, Navajo Loop, and Queen’s Garden Trail. All of them are pretty accessible so it wasn’t too strenuous, but definitely more than I had planned. After that I found a shower and did some laundry before heading back to Sunset Point for sunset, which was honestly kind of a letdown.
