Day 6: Salt Flats
Flooded Bonneville Salt Flats on a sunny post-rain day — great photos and a slight detour well worth taking.
After leaving the Alvord Desert, my next major destination was Bryce Canyon in SW Utah so I had a lot of driving ahead of me. I took a slightly longer route so that I could drive through the Bonneville Salt Flats and that turned out to be a good decision. It had rained the day before but was sunny when I was there, so I got to walk around for a bit on the flooded salt flats which made for some great photos.
